Image Consultation MAKE STYLE Association (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Association’) establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Policy’) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Services’).

Article 1 (Personal Information)

Personal information” refers to the information defined by the Personal Information Protection Law, which includes information about a living individual, such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions that can identify a specific individual, as well as data such as appearance, fingerprints, and voiceprints, and information that can identify a specific individual from the information itself, such as the insurer number on a health insurance card (personal identification information).

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)

The Association may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, etc., when users register for use. Additionally, the Association may collect transaction records and payment information, including users’ personal information, from partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad distributors; hereinafter referred to as “Partners”) with whom users have transactions.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which the Association collects and uses personal information are as follows.

  1. For the provision and operation of Association services.
  2. To respond to inquiries from users (including conducting identity verification)

  3. To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other services provided by the Association, which users are using.
  4. For necessary communications such as maintenance, important notices, etc., as needed.
  5. To identify users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or unfair purposes, and to refuse their use of the service.
  6. To allow users to view, modify, delete their registration information, and view their usage status.
  7. To charge users for the usage fees in paid services.
  8. Purposes related to the above usage purposes.

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)

  1. The Association shall change the purpose of use of personal information only if it is reasonably deemed to be relevant to the purpose before the change.
  2. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, the Association shall notify users of the changed purpose by the method specified by the Association, or publish it on this website.

Article 5 (Third Party Provision of Personal Information)

  1. The Association shall not provide personal information to third parties without the user’s consent, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations.
    1. When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult.
    2. When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy upbringing of children, and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult.
    3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a person entrusted by them, to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual may hinder the performance of such duties.
    4. When the following items are notified or announced in advance and the Association has filed a report with the Personal Information Protection Commission
      1. Including provision to third parties in the purpose of use
      2. Items of data provided to third parties
      3. Means or methods of providing to third parties
      4. Ceasing the provision of personal information to third parties upon the individual’s request.
      5. Methods of accepting requests from individuals
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of the information shall not be deemed a third party.
    1. When the Association entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary for achieving the purpose of use.
    2. When personal information is provided due to business succession resulting from a merger or other reasons.
    3. When personal information is jointly used with specific individuals, the Association shall notify the individual in advance or make it easily accessible to the individual regarding the purpose of jointly using the personal information, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of persons who will jointly use it, the purposes of use of the persons who will jointly use it, and the name or designation of the person responsible for the management of the personal information.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

  1. When the Association receives a request for disclosure of personal information from the individual, the Association shall promptly disclose it to the individual. However, if the disclosure falls under any of the following cases, the Association may not disclose all or part of it, and if a decision is made not to disclose it, the Association shall promptly notify the individual accordingly. A handling fee of 1,000 yen per case will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
    1. When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party.
    2. When there is a significant risk of seriously impeding the proper implementation of the Association’s business.
    3. When it would violate other laws and regulations.
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we generally do not disclose information other than personal information such as history information and characteristic information.


Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

  1. Users may request the correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “correction, etc.”) of their personal information held by the Association through the procedure prescribed by the Association if their personal information held by the Association is incorrect.
  2. If the Association determines that it is necessary to respond to a request from a user under the preceding paragraph, the Association shall promptly carry out the correction, etc., of the personal information in question.
  3. The Association shall promptly notify the user when it has made corrections, etc., based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it has made a decision not to make corrections, etc.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

  1. If the Association is requested by the individual to suspend or delete the use of personal information (hereinafter referred to as “suspension of use, etc.”) on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or has been obtained by fraudulent means, the Association shall promptly conduct necessary investigations.
  2. Based on the investigation results of the preceding paragraph, if the Association determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, the Association shall promptly suspend the use of the personal information, etc.
  3. The Association shall promptly notify the user when it has taken measures to suspend the use of personal information, etc., based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when it has made a decision not to take such measures.
  4. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if it is difficult to suspend the use of personal information, etc., due to the high cost or other reasons, and if alternative measures are necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user, the Association shall take such alternative measures.

Article 9 (Change of Privacy Policy)

  1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users, except for matters stipulated separately in laws and regulations or in this Policy.
  2. Unless otherwise specified by the Association, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
